Finally, I have time to write a review on the short drama of Suzukake Nanchara which was released ages ago on the 11th of December last year. I know I was suppose to do this within like a week of its release but work and other stuff just caught up with me and I just didn't have enough time to focus on it... This review would be like a personal view of it I guess, because I am just not used to what critics actually do... (*´_ゝ｀)

Anyways... It is going to be quite long I think and there is alot of screenshoots so I'll get on with my review~

The drama begins in the year of 2003, with Jurina, Shizuka, Emika, Mina and Rie burying a time capsule containing stuff that they would want to bury and look at after 10 years. I guess with them starting off the drama, that means they are the main characters but I wonder why isn't it the top 5 members.... Oh well~ Along with a soft piano playing as background music, I reckon this short drama has started off really well to set where the story is heading and created the appropriate atmosphere.
I have always wanted to bury a time capsule myself actually xD 

Yep. 10 years have passed and it is 2013. There is Jurina on the phone and in office lady clothing... I guess it is going to be like introducing their life after 10 years.

Look at Mayu in Mosh&Dive MV in the background LOL!

This receptionist doesn't really have anything to do with the drama but can I just say something... No offence or being mean or anything... but she looks kinda of creepy in the drama... And it's Mosh&Dive MV in the background again~ I wonder if it's gonna appear elsewhere as well

There they are again.... Management fully promoting Mosh&Dive through the drama aye? (≧∇≦)

So after 10 years, the senbatsu members are all invited to a reunion outing, but the atmosphere is so weird... C'mon and talk to each other...

Shiichan being the organiser for this reunion~ She is so adorable here!!

Getting out of the restroom, Shiichan bumped into Emika and man.... Emika already has two children during the past 10 years....!? wow....
And I thought that the kids, especially the little boy would have more screentime in this drama because of the pictures Jurina took with him... He is sooo cute and adorable~!

Shiichan organised the reunion because she was worried that everyone forgot about the promise and the time capsule they buried 10 years ago. I really love this scene because we can actually hear the girls sing without any music accompanying them and what we hear is their actual singing voice. (｀・ω・´)

Flashbacks...Flashbacks...Flashbacks...

Then Jurina decided to start dancing to Suzukake Nanchara and I think it is really sweet how Jurina is showing Shiichan that she didn't forget about their promise~

And... *Drumrolls* Finally Hilary appears!!! But why does she only get a line to say when she came like 3rd in Janken....(」゜ロ゜)」

Hilary was speaking in English and the look on Reinyan is just like "What the heck are you talking about...!? I can't understand a word (ఠ△ఠ)

I really love this scene as well where the glasses shatters, cool use of cinematography and visual effects here but I don't get the meaning behind this... When I first watched it, I was thinking "wait... is this all a dream or something...?"

These are the sort of film techniques that I wanna learn in uni~~ o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o

So after the glass scene, we went straight to the MV (My review on the song and MV itself is in the other review post) and credits followed after that. This little scene was shown in the end, showing all five main characters outlining their hand onto a paper that was stored in the time capsule as well. We can see which hand is who's from here.
But I wanna say something here as well... Why are they all at school so late outlining their hands....!? You guys can do this during class break or something LOL! Don't you all go back home? or is it those school that the students have to stay in the school campus...

Anyways... My review on the short drama is finished! Phew~ *swips off sweat* I don't know whether I will be doing the next drama review or not because mine is just too... bad and it is not really a proper review in my opinion...
But overall, I reckon this single's drama is better than Ereki not because I'm bias or anything but I just prefer this sort of plot and setting, and I can tell they put more thoughts to how the scenes should be filmed, for example from what angle should it be filmed, the lighting and when the scene should be placed, but all these has really gotta do with the director. I guess thats why there are good directors and bad ones. I really love the background music as well~ Aki-P should totally think of releasing them as a single and I would seriously buy it....! *O*
And because during the credit scene, they included what happened to the senbatsu members in 10 years so I'll try to translate what happened to them with my poor Japanese skills.... Here we go LOL!

Became a nurse after graduating from a college and is now a housewife after marrying a surgeon to take care of her two sons.

Studied aboard in America by herself. Became a pro dancer and has started her own dancing school after returning to Japan.

Using a skill that was given to her by birth...*something*. Working in a high class club as a mother...??

After graduating from college, she worked with a local newpaper? Retired to become a housewife and is still chasing her dream of becoming an author.

Entered a theatrical company after graduating from high school. She has taken part in stages, dramas and movies.

Married a *something* friend that she met during college period?

Continuing an Okonomiyaki shop that used to be her grandfathers in Osaka. The shop is going well with the special sauce.

Graduated from a music college and is married to a pro soccer player she met in England. (Has one daughter)

Working in a voice acting agency after graduating from a voice acting school. Has regulars that come and talk about animes?

Employed in a bank after graduating from university. Is trying to gain the qualification to become a tax accountant while working. (Married for two years)

Graduated from a PDHPE university. Currently a PDHPE teacher in a junior high school, and is a very hardcore gymnastic club adviser aiming for Inter-High competition? (Engaged to a social science teacher)

I know that I may have made mistakes in my translation and it would be nice if anyone know to tell me the mistakes through comment or anything so I can make sure everything is accurate, but until next time...
